EMDR Therapy for Trauma
A type of therapy that helps people heal from trauma, distressing memories, and other emotional challenges. During EMDR, the therapist guides you to briefly focus on a troubling memory while using eye movements or other forms of rhythmic stimulation, like tapping. This process is believed to help the brain reprocess the memory in a way that reduces its emotional impact. Over time, the memory becomes less upsetting and easier to manage. EMDR is often used for PTSD, anxiety, and other trauma-related concerns.
EMDR is offered at Finding Peace in the Poconos LLC virtually by Calli Crouse, LAPC.
